Eduard Yaco

Eduard Yaco is a Filipino photographer based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is a product photographer and the head of the media department for a German e-commerce jewelry company.
His photography journey began on the high seas. A native of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, he started his career as a seafarer, feeling the effects of homesickness aboard an international cargo vessel. The views of sunsets on the sea, along with the cultures that he encounters when they dock inspire him to purchase his first camera.
His intimate love of art and photography served as his passport to transition his career from sailor to professional photographer.
He is deeply engaged and passionate about various genres of photography, including travel and landscape, cityscape, street and documentary, fine arts, fashion, and portrait.
His works are featured/published by local and international media outlets like:

National Geographic, BBC News, GulfNews, The Filipino Times, Living Asia Channel, Pressreader, ABS-CBN, Choosephilippines, FuntasticPhilippines, ResourceMagazine, World-Class Landscape Photographers, Mobiography Magazine, FotoUAE, Photographic Mercadillo, Manarat Al Sadiyat, Street Photography International, Getty Images, Inquirer.net and Manila Bulletin to name a few.

He is a National Book Development Board of the Philippines (NBDB)-registered author who self-published a photobook of his beloved hometown called "Puerto Galera Through My Eyes."

"Well, for me, photography isn't just about shooting; it's about understanding, connecting with, and embracing whatever your subject is. For me, photography is a gateway to unheard songs and a voice of freedom in every moment."
